The Illusion of Solidity

Yet another evil scheme perpetrated upon us by the increasingly corrupt Universal Government of Beings: the illusion of solidity.

We never actually touch anything, although obviously it seems we do. When we think of “touch” we think the space between our fingers and the keyboard, for example, is zero. The solid parts of our fingers are in contact with the solid parts of the keyboard. However, all physical objects are made up mostly of space.

I just took this atom off my finger, snapped a photo, and added captions:

illusion of solidity

As you can see, the majority of the atom is just empty space, with the electrons swirling around the nucleus like tiny bees drunk on nectar. Put a bunch of those spacious atoms together and you have “solid” matter. Your hand is made up of the same stuff. Actually, everything is.

When you touch something, there’s always space between the object and your hand. What you feel is not “touching” as we think of it, but the electromagnetic force between the atoms which becomes strong when they get close to each other. But there’s space there.

You’re not standing on the ground. You’re hovering just above it.

Thanks to this groundbreaking finding which was first published here at dingtwist.com (not serious), condoms are now obsolete. If your penis is not touching the vagina or butthole, you cannot contract herpes or HIV.*

Just some more food for thought that things aren’t necessarily how they appear. Enjoy the last few hours of your weekend!

  2. […] To give a very rudimentary and possibly inaccurate (since I’m not smart enough to comprehend the stuff I try to read on it, but I’m gonna say it anyway) summary of the quantum physics: everything is energy. Matter, thoughts, feelings, light, everything. Things appear different and feel and look different because the energy vibrates at different frequencies. The denser something is, the lower its vibration. But at the core of everything is vibrating energy. When you tune into different vibrational frequencies (through meditation, psychedelics, or innately), you can interpret information that exists on those frequencies but is largely invisible. I think that’s what psychics do. (Related post: The Illusion of Solidity) […]

Sometimes they will tell us that some new discovery has contradicted not only the way we thought about the world, but indeed what we sense. For example, it is sometimes said that our bodies are not actually solid but composed of atoms which are mostly empty space. Solidity is an illusion of the sense and the reality is the nearly empty atoms. […]
