Buddy
When sunlight hits his golden coat, reflecting the divine,
It makes me feel so fortunate to know that he is mine.
I pause to soak in all the light reflecting off his coat,
He looks into my eyes and sets my human heart afloat.
He’s humble, shy, and caring and he shows it with his eyes,
For such a pretty dog this combo comes as a surprise.
I can’t imagine any other creature on this earth
Could be so perfect and complete directly from its birth.
When I come home, so full of stress, he rises from a nap,
A silly, jumping wagging dog, if human, he would clap.
It doesn’t even take a moment for my mood to switch,
I take him in my arms, my worries tossed into a ditch.
It’s hard to think an animal could make this life so sweet,
But anyone with doubts would change his mind from the first meet.
He waits all week so patiently for something he would like,
I think it’s time that he and I went for a little…HIKE!
rigs
oh rigs you stinky smelly pooch I dont know how you live
you need some self respect you pig your mind is like a sieve
no bath can cleanse your scraggly coat you smell just like a turd
the dingleberries hanging off your butt fur how absurd
i give you shit and hope you realize its well-deserved
the only thing you care about is when your food is served
although i laugh and point at you the way you gave up hope
without your silly antics i don’t know how i would cope
you stink and also look like shit attacking every sense
but its ok i love you boy its just…youre really dense
